She bonds with Baby Yo—errr, Grogu—and reveals his name, his tragic Jedi daycare backstory, and his force powers. Ahsoka refuses to train him (classic Jedi move), but she does point Din toward the planet Tython, while also casually dropping the name of her real target: Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Things improve when Mando teams up with a squad of Mandalorians led by Bo-Katan, who’s basically Mandalorian royalty and makes him look like the kid still riding with training wheels. Together they hijack an Imperial ship, toss stormtroopers around like trash bags, and set up the looming quest for the Darksaber—while Baby Yoda spends the episode learning how not to eat other people’s children.

They team up with Tusken Raiders (because nothing says “bonding” like shared monster hunting) and pull off a spectacularly messy victory. Mando gets the armor, rides off into the suns, and a mysterious, very familiar figure watches him leave.

IG-11 makes a heroic comeback, zooming in like the world’s deadliest nanny on a speeder bike to save Baby Yoda. After a fierce showdown, Mando defeats Gideon and finally earns his official Mandalorian signet. The episode ends with Gideon slicing his way out of a wrecked TIE fighter, with the help of the Darksaber’s dramatic entrance, because villains in capes never just stay down.

He assembles a ragtag team, including Cara Dune, Kuiil, and IG-11, and brings Baby Yoda along for what is definitely not a 50-year-old baby safe mission. Things quickly spiral when Moff Gideon shows up, dramatically outclassing everyone and turning the trap into a massacre. The episode ends with Kuiil tragically killed and Baby Yoda captured, proving once again that trusting people in Star Wars is a fast track to heartbreak.

In Chapter 6 of The Mandalorian, Mando joins a crew of shady mercenaries for a prison break mission aboard a New Republic transport ship. Things go sideways fast when the team double-crosses him, because apparently, backstabbing is just part of the onboarding process. Mando turns the tables one by one, locking his former teammates up like bad space roommates. He escapes with Baby Yoda and a little poetic justice, leaving the mercs behind with a ticking beacon and some very punctual X-Wings.
