  • 184: Why Do We Trust Synthetic Drugs More Than God’s Creation?
    2026/01/28

A Faith-Centered Look at Natural Remedies, Discernment, and Common Sense

If God designed plants to support and nourish the body, why do so many of us feel more comfortable trusting synthetic drugs than the things He created?

In this episode, we gently explore that question and talk through simple, grounded ways to approach plant-based remedies without fear or overwhelm. This conversation is for Christian women who want clarity, peace, and faith-centered health wisdom — especially if you’re tired of researching endlessly, second-guessing yourself, or feeling responsible for figuring everything out alone.

My goal is to offer calm guidance rooted in faith, common sense, and respect for the body God created.

Why Natural Remedies Can Feel So Overwhelming

Many women don’t avoid natural remedies because they don’t care about their health. They avoid them because the information feels scattered, extreme, or contradictory. When something is unfamiliar, it can quickly feel unsafe — even when it comes from God’s creation.

Confusion often comes from trying to do too much at once, hearing strong opinions online, or feeling pressure to “get it right.”

Plants as Part of God’s Design

Scripture reminds us that God is our healer, and creation reflects His wisdom. Plants have been used for nourishment, care, and support for generations.

Natural remedies don’t replace faith, nor do they require fear. Like anything else, they call for wisdom, discernment, and personal responsibility.

A Closer Look at Commonly Used Plants

In this episode, I share several plants that are often discussed in holistic health spaces and how many people use them in simple, everyday ways:

Castor oil, often used externally for skin or joint support Frankincense and myrrh, historically valuable and still commonly used today Lemon balm (also called Melissa), frequently enjoyed as a calming tea Elderberry, widely known for immune support Cacao, a plant-based food many women notice supports mood and inflammation

The goal isn’t to do everything — it’s to understand that small, thoughtful use can go a long way.

How to Use Natural Remedies Wisely and Safely

Natural doesn’t mean careless. Wisdom still matters.

Some helpful principles include: Choose reputable brands you trust Start with very small amounts Follow label instructions Be mindful of medical conditions or prescriptions

If something feels unclear, it’s okay to pause, pray, and seek guidance.

Why Discernment Matters More Than Fear

It’s worth asking why we sometimes fear plants more than heavily processed foods or synthetic products.

Discernment isn’t about rejecting modern medicine or natural remedies. It’s about understanding what we’re using, why we’re using it, and how it fits into a bigger picture of caring for our bodies with wisdom and humility.

If You’re Feeling Stuck or Unsure

Most women don’t stay stuck because they don’t care about their health. We often stay stuck because we keep carrying the same questions, uncertainty, and mental weight month after month.

If you’re ready to stop carrying that alone and want a calm space to talk things through and discern next steps, you’re welcome to book a one-on-one Health Clarity Session.

  • 183: What are You Numbing That God is Trying to Heal? A Faith-Centered Conversation About Distraction, Freedom, and Healing
    2026/01/21

What do we reach for when life feels uncomfortable, confusing, or heavy? In this episode, we explore how distraction, numbing, and limiting beliefs can quietly keep us stuck—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

This conversation is for Christian women who want clarity instead of confusion, peace instead of just pushing through, and a faith-centered way to think about healing and forward movement. Together, we reflect on Scripture, freedom in Christ, and what it means to stop numbing and start paying attention to what God may be inviting us to face.

Distraction, Numbing, and the Cost of Avoidance We live in a culture filled with noise and “respectable” distractions. While many of these things aren’t inherently wrong, they can become ways we avoid discomfort, grief, or truth. Over time, numbing keeps us from facing what needs healing and from experiencing the joy that comes from walking in our calling.

Freedom Has Value in Itself Galatians 5:1 reminds us that Christ set us free for freedom itself. This verse points to God’s heart—freedom is not just a means to an end; it matters on its own. When we live distracted or numb, we often settle for less than what Christ already made available to us.

Limiting Beliefs That Keep Us Stuck Many women carry quiet beliefs that shape their health and spiritual choices: “I’ve always been sick.” “I’ll never change.” “The Bible is too hard to understand.” These beliefs can slowly steal motivation and hope.

It Is Not Too Late to Begin Again No matter your age, history, or past decisions, it is never too late to make a different choice. While salvation is a free gift received through faith, our daily decisions still matter. The steps we take today can influence our peace, our health, and the way we live out our calling.

When God Doesn’t Give a Clear Answer There are seasons when we ask God for direction and don’t receive a clear, immediate response. In those moments, discernment may look less like waiting and more like taking one faithful step. Sometimes God invites us to move forward and trust that He will guide us along the way.

    Time-Stamped Highlights

00:00 – A reflective question about numbing and healing 00:09 – Galatians 5:1 and God’s heart for freedom 00:39 – The grief of wasted potential and missed joy 01:37 – How delighting in God reshapes our desires 02:07 – Respectable distractions and subtle numbing 02:32 – “Permissible vs. beneficial” and the role of boundaries 03:30 – Limiting beliefs that quietly keep us stuck 04:25 – Why it’s never too late to begin again 05:25 – Salvation by grace and why our daily choices still matter 06:50 – Freedom as something God deeply values 07:15 – Cultural lies about inevitability and helplessness 08:14 – Obedience, faith, and taking the next small step 09:12 – Turning to God instead of numbing or avoiding 09:42 – Invitation to Health Clarity Sessions and quiet gathering

    Key Takeaways

    • Freedom is something Christ intentionally offers and values • Distraction and numbing can quietly keep us from healing and growth • Limiting beliefs shape what we believe is possible for our health and faith • It is never too late to change direction or take a new step • Clarity often comes after movement, not before it • God meets us in honesty, not avoidance

  • 182: Is God Silent—Or Is There Too Much Noise?
    2026/01/14

Sometimes it feels like God has gone quiet — especially when you’re overwhelmed, facing health decisions, or trying to make sense of conflicting advice. In this episode, we explore a different possibility: that clarity isn’t missing because God isn’t speaking, but because there’s simply too much noise around us.

This conversation is for Christian women who feel tired of trying to figure everything out on their own and who want a faith-centered way to move forward with peace. We talk about why Scripture values wise counsel, how God often brings clarity through others, and what it looks like to slow down enough to truly listen.

Why Clarity Matters in a Noisy World When information is constant and opinions are endless, it becomes difficult to discern what truly matters. Scripture reminds us that wisdom is found not in rushing forward, but in seeking counsel and listening carefully.

What the Bible Teaches About Wise Counsel The Bible consistently affirms the value of wise counsel. When we fail to seek it, we risk confusion and unnecessary struggle. God invites us to come to Him first — and He often uses other faithful people to help bring clarity.

Why Health Decisions Can Feel So Confusing Health advice comes from every direction: doctors, practitioners, online experts, and trends that often contradict one another. Without discernment, this can leave women feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure of their next step.

Slowing Down to Hear God More Clearly Clarity often comes when we intentionally slow down. Creating space for prayer, Scripture, quiet reflection, journaling, walking, or gentle practices can help calm the body and mind so we can better hear God’s guidance.

How God Uses Others to Bring Perspective and Peace God frequently works through community. Prayer, listening, and shared wisdom from trusted believers can bring reassurance, confirmation, and renewed peace when we feel overwhelmed.

    Time-Stamped Highlights

00:00 – When clarity feels hard to find and life feels noisy 00:20 – Who this episode is for and the foundation of faith-centered healing 01:12 – Choosing “clarity” as a Word of the Year 01:41 – A biblical example of what happens when counsel is ignored 02:38 – How wise counsel and prayer brought relief and direction 04:35 – What Proverbs teaches about wise words and healing 05:03 – Why health advice can feel overwhelming and conflicting 06:28 – How faith-centered clarity sessions can help sort through the noise 07:39 – Learning to slow down and listen for God’s guidance 08:08 – Simple practices that support clarity and discernment 09:57 – Why timing matters, even when God gives a vision 10:25 – Invitation to a quiet Zoom gathering for prayer and Scripture

    Key Takeaways

    • God values wise counsel and invites us to seek Him first • Clarity often comes through slowing down, not rushing ahead • Health decisions feel less overwhelming when rooted in faith and discernment • God may use trusted people, prayer, and quiet reflection to guide next steps • Understanding and peace are often the first signs of true direction

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure what your next health step should be, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I offer one-on-one Health Clarity Sessions designed to help you sort through the noise, gain understanding, and move forward with peace and discernment.
