  • John Chau's Sacrifice
    2026/10/16

We trace the Sentinelese story from first sightings and shipwrecks to modern encounters, then zoom in on John Allen Chau’s 2018 attempt to make contact and what his journal reveals about fear, conviction, and consequences. We keep asking what this looks like from the island’s perspective and what “obedience” means when the cost might be your life and someone else’s safety.
    • what “uncontacted tribe” really means and why the Sentinelese remain isolated
    • how rare contact, language gaps, and long gaps in memory shape fear
    • shipwrecks, kidnappings, and disease risk as generational trauma
    • the 2004 tsunami sighting and why helicopters look like threats
    • John Allen Chau’s background, missionary training, and self-quarantine
    • paying fishermen to approach the island and the legal barriers meant to protect the tribe
    • first contact attempts, offering fish, and the “authority” claim in his words
    • the arrow striking the waterproof Bible and the retreat back to the boat
    • what his diary suggests about frustration, resolve, and acceptance of death
    • the bigger argument about radical Christianity, martyrdom, and how to judge choices you would never make

  • Canada's Assisted Dying System
    2026/10/07

We start with the uneasy aftertaste of talking about sleep paralysis and other heavy stories, then deliberately pivot to lighter ground so we can breathe again. Along the way, we connect job stress, weird weather, social media fatigue, and big moral questions back to a simple anchor: peace comes from aiming at God’s will, not trying to control everything.

    • the lingering stress response after sharing sleep paralysis and “demonic” stories
    • a hide and seek closet story that turns instantly unsettling
    • prepping for a job interview while feeling burned out
    • why being overqualified can work against you
    • taking whatever job provides while you keep looking
    • winters changing, cloud cover looking strange, El Nino and hurricane talk
    • flood fear, Duluth hills, and refusing to risk your life for low pay
    • Twitter/X burnout, politicized feeds, and stepping back from outrage
    • choosing to point people toward Jesus instead of obsessing over the news
    • laughing through wild clips, then getting serious about gun safety and negligent discharges
    • reacting to a claim about Canada’s assisted dying system and questioning how consent works
    • daylight saving time as a final “why do we do this” rant

  • Sleep Paralysis: Luke's Experience
    2026/10/02

Something about sleep paralysis messes with your certainty. You’re “awake” enough to hear the rain, see the light through the blinds, and track every sound in the room, but you cannot move. Then it escalates: falling at high speed, floating through the house, bumping the ceiling, snapping back to bed, and spotting a shadow figure standing in the corner like it’s watching you. That’s where our conversation starts, and it only gets stranger from there.

We walk through a decade-long run of episodes that peak at two to three times a week, including the moments that don’t fit neatly into a casual “sleep disorder” label: covers feeling like they’re being pulled off, a whisper in an unknown language close enough to feel breath, and a rare out-of-body experience that feels hyper-real. We also connect the dots to real sleep issues like stress, insomnia, sleep apnea, and CPAP, plus the sudden bang and flash many people recognize as exploding head syndrome. If you’ve ever searched “shadow people sleep paralysis” at 2 a.m., you’ll know exactly why this hits so hard.

Then we go where most conversations stop: faith, prayer, and the possibility of spiritual oppression. We keep it honest about uncertainty and definitions, talk about paranormal experiences like the Velisca axe murder house, and share what it’s like to live for years with the constant sense that something is right around the corner. If you’ve had sleep paralysis, nightmares, night terrors, or that uneasy “presence” feeling, you’re not alone. Subscribe for more, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review. What’s the most vivid thing you’ve ever experienced while half-awake?

  • Demonic Influence: Mea Brodie's Story
    2026/09/28

A 911 call reports screaming, fighting, and “power tools” in the night. A couple days later, police are at the door of a small home in Flagstaff, Arizona and they hear a gunshot. What follows is one of the most unsettling parts of the Mea Brodie case: the calm, the compliance, and the sense that she’s operating from a totally different reality than everyone around her.

We break down the timeline from the neighbor allegations to the Mother’s Day gun-store trip where a firearm is framed as “self-protection,” then we rewind to the bodycam moment where officers realize something is horribly wrong. From there, we dig into the handwritten notes that read like a one-sided conversation, the confusing mix of pills in the room with a reportedly clean drug test, and the interrogation clips where Mea talks about an “awakening,” multiple realms, a war between light and dark, and an “advisor” telling her to wait for an attorney.

The big question we wrestle with is what explains the voices. We discuss mental health and psychosis, but we also explore a spiritual warfare lens, including the idea that substances can “thin the veil” and make influence stronger. We bring up Dr. Jerry Marzinsky’s work and why patterns in “voice” content matter, then end with a practical takeaway: if you’re going to stare into dark stories, you need a way to step back out, and for us that means prayer and staying grounded.

If this conversation challenges your assumptions, share it with a friend who loves true crime and interrogation analysis, then subscribe and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What do you think influenced Mea Brodie?

    St. Augustine's Prayer:

Visit we beseech thee O Lord, this habitation & drive far from it all snares of the enemy; let thy holy angels dwell herein to preserve us in peace, & let thy blessing be ever upon us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.
