Jasper Bouverie meets Steve Sankey, the first politician ever to declare a party affiliation on the Orkney Islands Council. They met on the harbour wall in Kirkwall to discuss some of the issues relating to sustainability on Orkney, before retiring to coffee shop to mull over Steve's personal influences and hear Steve's thoughts about who needed to be persuaded now.

Jenifer Wates and her husband Neil bought Bore Place in 1976 and set about turning it into a Centre for Sustainability, establishing the Commonwork Land Trust and the Commonwork Organic Farm. She talks to Jasper Bouverie about what inspired her to do the work and, an activist at the age of 89, who she is trying to persuade now.

Olly Langdon set up the Kilter Theatre company in Bath in 2006.  Kilter is a theatre company that specialises in sustainability and the future, often breaking down the fourth wall to encourage people to participate in the debate of 'where we are going'. Ed Kyrke-Smith tends a smallholding in the village of Brook in East Kent, growing microgreens and salad crops for high-end shops and restaurants. He tells Jasper Bouverie that it all came about following the birth of his son.
