Shalom! Three years ago, on October 7, 2023, Israel was attacked. On the Jewish calendar, this year's anniversary fell a few days ago on Shabbat, during Shemini Atzeret, the 8th day of Sukkot. That's the day the attack happened in 2023, and it's meant to be a day of peace.
The Feast of Tabernacles points to the future in Zechariah, when all the nations will keep this festival after Yeshua returns. Those of us who are grafted in, keep the Torah, and wear the blue tassels look like Jews to the people who attacked Israel. And they won't stop to ask whether you're a Christian or a Jew.
On October 7, people from more than 20 nations were in Israel, because Israel is a Western democracy that welcomes everybody, just like the United States. Even on a perfect, cloudless day here in Kansas City, the enemies of freedom and peace are still plotting. So brothers and sisters, keep your head on a swivel.
Praise Yahweh that we get to know Him at this time, and that we can look forward to the peace that will come when Yeshua returns and sets up a Messianic, Torah-observant world for 1,000 years.
May Yahweh bless you and keep you in the name of His Son, Yeshua.
