    The power of story is embedded in the cultural origins of human civilization - from the ancient Africans of the Nile Valley to the African descendants of the Americas and the Caribbean, it gave a collective people language, knowledge, and identity. What evolved from this cultural knowledge system is a remedy for processing pain, mending emotional and spiritual wounds, and leveraging communal support to redefine reality and generate new meaning.
