Praise, prayer, and even making melody in our hearts to the Lord can be a way to maintain a continual dialog of faith and fellowship with the Father throughout the day. A declaration of faith is more than the physical act of just saying something out loud for the sake of saying it or simply because we know doing so is "the right thing to do" as a believer. A true declaration of faith is taking God's Word boldly into your mouth so that you become His voice in the earth, speaking His truth and authority against the enemy. By doing so, we give voice to what God has already spoken. Because His Word cannot return void, we can expect victory when we stand in faith and declare His will over our circumstances.

Many people speak the name of Jesus but do so without an understanding of the authority and covenant rights invested in that name. They do not exercise the authority it represents. Simply saying the name is not enough. It is faith in who Jesus is and an understanding of the authority He has delegated that releases the power of His name into a believer’s life.
