  • Psalms for the Soul (Part 6: Worship in the Psalms)
    2026/05/24

Most of us carry more than we let on. The joy we celebrate out loud. The grief we keep to ourselves. The gratitude that's real, but quiet. The weight we haven't found the words for yet.

The Psalms were written by people who refused to pretend. People who brought all of it: the sorrow, the praise, the confusion, the trust. Not cleaned up. Not figured out. Just honest.

Worship isn't something that happens in a building on a Sunday. It's what life looks like when every part of it, the hard and the hopeful, the broken and the beautiful, gets offered back to God. It’s not a highlight reel. It's a whole life, fully lived for God.

    2026/05/17

Most of us move through life seeing things just well enough to get by. We recognize the outlines of faith — the stories, the verses, the general idea — but something still feels fuzzy. The picture isn't quite sharp. And when life gets hard, that blurriness costs us.

Jesus isn't meant to be a vague figure in the background of your life. He is a king with real authority, a priest who has already made you clean, and a victor whose win is yours to walk in. When you see who he actually is — not as a concept but as a person — everything else comes into focus too. Your struggles. Your fears. Your purpose.

The clarity is available. It just takes putting the right lens on.

  • Psalms for the Soul (Part 4: Praise) - Audio Sermon
    2026/05/10

Most of us know how to show up when we need something. A favor. A miracle. An answer. We're good at bringing our pain, our needs, our worst moments to God. And that's not wrong — it's honest.

But here's what's harder: showing up when there's no crisis. Praising God not because things are great, but because He's good — and saying it out loud before the feeling shows up.

Praise isn't something that happens automatically when life is going well. It's something we have to choose, practice, and sometimes fight for. The Psalms don't just inspire us to worship — they teach us how. And the difference between praise that transforms you and praise that's just words has everything to do with which direction you're facing.

  • Psalms for the Soul (Part 3: Lament) - Audio Sermon
    2026/05/03

Some feelings don’t have easy places to go.

They sit just beneath the surface—quiet questions, lingering grief, a sense that something isn’t right. Faith can feel simple when life is steady, but in the harder moments, it becomes less about certainty and more about honesty. There are days when words come easily, and others when even a simple prayer feels out of reach.

There’s a way of bringing all of it—the confusion, the frustration, the silence—into something more than just internal weight. Not ignoring it. Not being ruled by it. Just holding it, honestly, in the presence of God. Somewhere in that space, even the heaviest things begin to shift, not because they’re resolved, but because they’re no longer carried alone.

  • Psalms for the Soul (Part 2: Sorrow & Joy) - Audio Sermon
    2026/04/26

Life has a way of holding two things at once. Something good happens, and you’re genuinely happy about it. At the same time, there’s still something else sitting there—stress, disappointment, grief, or just a heaviness you can’t fully shake. It’s not always dramatic. It’s just real life.

Over time, you figure out how to deal with it. Maybe you focus on the hard stuff and don’t let yourself feel too much joy, out of fear of disappointment. Or maybe you try to stay positive and push the heavier things to the side. Either way, the tension doesn’t really go anywhere. It just becomes part of how you move through your days.

There are moments when the weight of it all starts to feel a little more noticeable. Not necessarily louder, just harder to ignore, like something beneath the surface is asking for attention.

  • Psalms for the Soul (Part 1: The Tension of Expectation) - Audio Sermon
    2026/04/19

There are ways of knowing something without ever really experiencing it. A favorite story can stir emotion, pull at something deep, even feel personal in moments, yet still remain at a distance. It can feel close, but never quite real.

For many, a relationship with God can feel similar. There’s understanding, belief, even gratitude at times. The words are familiar, the rhythms are practiced, yet the connection feels thin, like something meant to be alive has settled into routine.

Over time, it becomes easier to adjust expectations than to wrestle with the tension. To accept a version of faith that fits within what feels manageable. But every once in a while, something shifts just enough to make you realize this isn’t how it’s supposed to feel.

  • Worship Together Weekend (Part 1: It's Time!) - Audio Sermon
    2026/04/12

There are moments when belief feels easy—when the story is still unfolding, when hope feels close enough to touch. And then there are the days that follow, when the noise fades, the questions linger, and certainty feels just out of reach. It’s in those in-between spaces where doubt has a way of settling in, not loudly, but steadily, convincing the heart to hold back just a little longer.

You might recognize it in your own life. The hesitation to fully trust. The instinct to wait for more clarity, more proof, something that feels solid enough to hold onto. Even when you’ve seen enough to believe, something inside resists, holding its ground.

Belief often doesn’t grow in certainty. It takes shape in surrender, in the moment a person loosens their grip and allows trust to take root where questions once held all the space.

  • Follow Me (Part 6: Power Over Every Other Story) - Audio Easter Sermon
    2026/04/05

There are the stories we tell out loud—the ones about family, work, and the season of life we’re in. They’re easy to share, familiar, and safe. But beneath those are larger stories. The ones shaped by loss, fear, regret, or questions we’re not sure how to answer. The ones that linger in the background, quietly influencing how we see ourselves and the future.

Most people learn to live with those stories. To manage them. To carry them forward as if they’re final. But every once in a while, something interrupts the narrative. Not loudly. Not forcefully. Just enough to make you wonder if the story you’ve been living in isn’t the only one available.

If something greater is true—something stronger than grief, deeper than fear, and more lasting than failure—then maybe those stories don’t get the final word after all.
