  • Immanuel - Here and Now: Practicing the Presence
    2025/12/07

    Joshua Manning | Lead Pastor

    November 30th, 2025

    This powerful message reframes our understanding of Advent as more than a countdown to Christmas—it's a wake-up call to spiritual alertness. Drawing from Matthew 24:36-44, we're challenged to distinguish between living in fear and living in anticipation. The sermon explores how Jesus doesn't invite us into anxiety about unpredictable timing, but into readiness and presence.

    Genesis 16:7-13

    Abraham is remembered as the father of Isaac, but no one ever talks about his other son—Ishmael. Hagar’s story reveals that even when families dismiss, erase, or mistreat, God sees and blesses the forgotten. God’s family is always bigger than we think.

  • Crashin' Out - Act Like You Got Some Sense
    2025/11/09

    Guest Preacher: Rev. Bryant Phelps;

    This powerful message confronts one of our deepest struggles: shame. Drawing from 2 Samuel 6:21-22, we encounter David dancing before the Lord with such abandon that he embarrasses his wife Michal, who believes he has acted undignified for a king. But David's response is revolutionary—he declares he will become even more undignified, even more shameless in his worship. This sermon challenges us to examine what we're ashamed of: the shame we bring on ourselves when we act out of character, and perhaps more significantly, the shame we feel when we fail to meet others' expectations. The central revelation is profound—we only bring shame upon ourselves when we try to be everything other than who God created us to be. When we're caught up in God's presence and secure in our personhood, we stop performing for others and start living authentically. This message invites us to release the burden of others' opinions and embrace the liberating truth that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, with nothing to be ashamed of.
