Do your prayers feel weak, inadequate, or met with silence? In “The Power of Weak Prayers,” Jeffrey Johnson opens Revelation 8:1–6 to show why believers can pray with confidence even when they feel helpless. The power of prayer rests in the God who hears us, and our access to His throne rests in the righteousness and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Through Revelation’s picture of incense rising before God and fire cast upon the earth, this message explores how God uses the prayers of His people to accomplish His purposes. An account of an unexpected opportunity to preach in an El Salvador prison brings that truth into everyday life. The encouragement is simple: bring your weakness to God, trust Christ, and keep praying even when you cannot see what God is doing.

What is Christ accomplishing as His people walk through suffering and await His return? In “What Is Jesus Doing While We Wait for His Return?” Jeffrey Johnson explores Revelation 7 through the story of Israel’s rescue from Egypt. He explains how Christ seals His people against the coming judgment and prepares to bring them into their eternal inheritance. The blood of the Lamb is their only security, and the multitude gathered before His throne reveals the fullness of His redeeming work.

This promised deliverance gives believers hope amid their present battles with sin, sorrow, and persecution. Ahead lies a renewed creation where God dwells with His people and wipes away every tear. The message calls us to seek His kingdom, share the gospel while mercy remains, and trust Christ as we look forward to life in His presence.

If Christ is King, why does the world seem increasingly chaotic—and why does His church still suffer? In this message on Revelation 6, Jeffrey Johnson explains how the opening of the seals reveals Christ’s present rule over the nations. Through the four horsemen, the cry of the martyrs, and the coming day of wrath, he traces how Christ judges wickedness while preserving and purifying His people.

The world’s turmoil does not mean that Christ has abandoned His throne. His purposes are moving toward final judgment and His people’s eternal inheritance in the new heavens and new earth. This sermon calls believers to trust His timing, loosen their grip on this passing world, and faithfully proclaim the gospel. Vengeance belongs to Christ; our calling is to love our enemies and point them to the only refuge from the wrath to come.
