The LGTBQ+ Movement forgets that boundaries are a good thing. A real good, wise and intentional thing - given to us by Jesus, not to oppress or suppress us...but to help us flourish. When fences get blown wide-open, the dinosaurs come out. But we pretend we don't have dinosaurs...or that we ourselves aren't dinosaurs! When Jesus kicked off His sexual revolution He did so with boundaries. It created the world we so cherish today (when it's at its best) and only by returning to Jesus' sexual ethic will we rediscover the flourishing we're all looking for. There are three Gods that Christians don't worship...that even atheists do. Should Christians abandon their God? Should Christians forsake the idea of a divine authority? Should Christians give up on the Bible? Absolutely not. We don’t need to BE atheists, but might need to be called that again... Why? One of the earliest nicknames or slurs at the ancient Christians is that they were “atheists”. They were called atheists because they did not take to the gods of Rome. Early Christians did not bow down to the gods of their time. We need to defy the gods of our time, too. These are the three gods Christians don't worship, but that culture does.
