Having struggled with extreme shyness and social anxiety during his childhood, Patrick reveals how he turned it into a strength, which has set him apart as a coach. One positive remark from a teacher changed Patrick’s life and he now applies that same principle in his coaching, always focusing on the positives and looking at his players with a “kind eye”. Patrick also reflects on the infamous 2018 US Open final between Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams, and how they brought a lot of eyes to tennis.
