このコンテンツについて

Welcome to the GOOD GRIEF, PEOPLE! Podcast hosted by Missy Gaspard and Lori Miggins…two women who met accidentally on purpose. They were originally brought together by a shared desire of health but quickly realized their connection was one of something much bigger, it was about grief - one as a child who lost her mother and father, and one as a mother who lost a child. Through their shared experience with death, they developed an unbreakable bond built on truly living - with pure joy, unwavering dedication to healthy eating and functional fitness, and a commitment to faithfully showing up every day for themselves and those they love and coach. This weekly podcast will explore the beauty of life well-lived while grieving losses, with tears of laughter and pain, inspiration and education, and a true sense of community. Whether you join us while on your favorite walk, during your daily commute, or at home in your favorite cozy corner - our biggest wish is that you are reminded that life is precious and fleeting, that you are strong enough to face anything that comes your way, and that finding real friends to hold your hand and heart through the toughest days is truly the good in life. You will have a front-row seat to the realities of Missy and Lori making Lululemons with the lemons life serves them on a daily basis. We realize that beyond cards and casseroles grief can be a struggle for those on the outside. Our hope is that the GOOD GRIEF, PEOPLE! Podcast may give others exactly what they need to hear while grieving their loss. Tune in weekly to get your dose of necessary release mixed with the right balance of tears, laughter, and hope. 個人的成功 心理学 心理学・心の健康 自己啓発 衛生・健康的な生活

  • Episode 31: Finding the Good in Our Own Grief
    2021/06/24

Happy S.H.I.T (So Happy It's Thursday) day my friends! Welcome to Episode 31 where we are going to tell you how we are going to be taking some of the advice we have been giving over the last 30 episodes so that we can find the good in our own grief this summer.

With coming off of quarantine and the world slowly opening up, we both have extremely busy summers with family, travel plans, etc etc. and we don’t want to miss a thing. Because of our tremendous losses, we know how fleeting life is and we want to be 100% present for these upcoming plans. Soooo, we are going to be taking a few weeks off of recording but do not worry, we have big plans to come back with some great content to help take the information you have learned from these first 30 episodes and APPLY them to your everyday life.

We are here if you need us! If you have just found us, then please go back and listen to our episodes (there are 30 of them for you to binge!) and if you have been with us since the beginning, thank you so much! We can’t wait to be back with you to start Season 2!

In this episode, you will hear:
-How and why we are taking our own self-care advice and taking some time off from the podcast this summer
-What our vision is for Season 2
-The reminder that while grief never goes away, we all have a choice to make and if we choose to find the good in it, it will make our lives so much better

  • Episode 30: Letting Go of Who You Were to Find Out Who You Are with Daisy Eckman
    2021/06/17

Today we are joined by Daisy Eckman who is going to share her story that is different from the guests that we have had in the past. Her story is not about losing an actual human being but of having to lose herself in order to move on after being violated in high school. She is now a rising sophomore in college and is wise beyond her years. Her courage and insightfulness is so inspiring. We are so appreciative to have her on the show to share her powerful, beautiful, and messy story with us. We can all learn something from this.

This episode is a must listen if you have your own children or have any interaction with kids- especially middle and high schoolers. You may want to share this story with your daughters and sons so you can have conversations about respecting boundaries and the damaging effects of peer pressure.

In this episode, you will hear:
-How we learned of Daisy’s difficult story
-Her experience in a new high school, how she tried to fit in, and how she was sexually violated
-How she had to let go and mourn the loss of her old self in order to move on to a healthier place

Does this story resonate with you? Do you have kids that need to hear this? Let us know on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/goodgriefpeople/ by commenting on this episode post or send us a DM.

  • Episode 29: Finding Your Connection
    2021/06/10

In today’s episode, we are talking all about finding connections in your life. When going through grief, it is so important that you find a connection with other people, with other grief warriors, and even with those that you have lost. This truly is pivotal to you being able to grow in your grief and get to a place where you can find your good, where you can find joy, where you can laugh about the good times and the special memories you have.

And if you know someone who is grieving, you can help them just by reaching out and creating that connection. The purpose of this podcast is to help those who are grieving AND those who want to help those who are grieving. Creating a connection and being there is a wonderful way to help.

    Quote from this episode:
“Death ends a life, not a relationship.”

In this episode, you will hear:
-How you can find your connections to who you have lost and to other people
-The importance of finding these connections to help you heal and find your good in your grief
-How connections provide a reason to live your fullest life, create memories, and leave your legacy

Have you found connections to other grief warriors or to what you have lost? Are you looking for connections? Let us know on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/goodgriefpeople/ by commenting on this episode post or send us a DM.
