  • Is It Wrong for Christians to Feel Sad or Despair?
    2026/03/12
Some Christians have heard that if you’re feeling sad, discouraged, or overwhelmed, you must be doing something wrong—that “real” faith means always feeling joyful and victorious.

But what if that’s not just unhelpful… but completely untrue?

In this , I answer a heartfelt question about sadness and whether feeling low is somehow unspiritual. We take a look at what Scripture actually says—and it’s far more comforting than the cliches people often throw around.

Jesus wept. Paul despaired of life. David poured out his heart in the Psalms. You’re in good company.

If you’ve ever felt like your emotions disqualify you from being a “strong” Christian, I think you’ll find real hope—and maybe even a deep breath of relief—in what we talk about here.

  • Freedom in Christ
    2026/03/05
People talk about freedom in Christ all the time, but what does “freedom” even mean?

This was Steve’s question when he called in from Decatur, Indiana.

In this short clip, I address Steve’s question and talk about the various aspects of our freedom in Jesus Christ.

    Enjoy!

  • Will You See God?
    2026/02/26
Hebrews 12:14 says that there is a sanctification (or holiness) without which no one will see the Lord. Does this mean that some believers won’t be holy enough to see God?

This was Jamal’s question when he called in from Florida to our radio program. In this short , I address the meaning of sanctification and the healthy interpretation of Hebrews 12.

  • Does God Forgive Us as We Forgive Others?
    2026/02/19
It’s a common belief that sounds spiritual—and even Biblical: God forgives us as we forgive others.

But is that actually the Gospel?

If you’ve ever been told God’s acceptance depends on you being endlessly nice, sweet, and forgiving, then you need to hear this call. Because that idea isn’t just misleading—it’s dangerous.

In this episode, I unpack Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness, including His parable about forgiving “seventy times seven.” You’ll see how His words have been twisted to promote a performance-based Christianity—and why the truth is far more freeing.

Are we forgiven because we forgive? Or do we forgive because we’ve been forgiven? Let’s clear up the confusion and rest in the boundless, unconditional forgiveness that comes from His blood, not our behavior.

  • What About James?
    2026/02/05
To whom is the book of James written? To Christians only, or to unbelievers, or to both?

And what should we make of James 4 when it addresses sinners who need to be cleansed and have their hearts purified and draw near to God?

In the short clip, I address this important question.

  • What’s Our Role When Others Stray From the Truth?
    2026/01/29
Some churches and denominations seem to wave a magic wand over Scripture, affirming lifestyles that are clearly not of God. Maybe you have a friend or family member engaged in a way of life that you know is sinful, and it has you wondering if they’re actually a believer.

Can we always judge a book by its cover? After all, only God knows the heart. We may express our disapproval of behavior not aligned with the New Testament, but navigating these tricky waters also requires wisdom and love. So, what’s our role when we see others struggling, straying, or even justifying sin?

In this clip, you’ll discover how to be a beacon of grace for others who are genuinely seeking the truth. Click to watch and find peace in letting Jesus be the final word!

  • Break the Covenant?
    2026/01/22
With earthly contracts, there are two or more parties involved, and sometimes there’s a cancellation clause. This clause lets one party back out of the deal if certain conditions are not met.

Daniel from Louisiana called in to our radio program to ask if the New Covenant has a cancellation clause. Is there any way that we can willfully back out, break the covenant, and thereby lose our salvation?

In this short clip, I address this important question.
