Women's bible studies get a bad rap - and rightfully so. A lot (not all) of the bible study material that's marketed to women in the church is so theologically weak, you could drink it black (if it were a cup of coffee.) Why are women not encouraged to dive deeper into theology and given anything of substance? The song is a rewritten version of the classic hymn “Blessed Assurance” penned by Fanny Crosby in 1873.
