  • From Darkness to Hope
    2026/08/11

    From Darkness to Hope

Depression doesn't always look like tears.

Sometimes it looks like sitting in a dark room, withdrawing from the people who love you, putting on a smile while silently carrying unimaginable pain, and convincing yourself that no one would understand.

In one of the most personal episodes of God Didn't Break You Podcast, Melissa Michelle shares her own journey through grief after losing her father, the emotional weight she carried, and what it was like trying to be "the strong one" while hurting on the inside.

Together, we'll have an honest conversation about depression, grief, faith, and healing. We'll explore what the Bible says about brokenheartedness, why it's okay to ask for help, and how God can work through prayer, supportive relationships, counseling, and community as we walk toward healing.

Whether you've experienced the loss of a loved one, struggled with depression, or know someone who is hurting, this episode is a reminder that you don't have to suffer in silence.

There is hope beyond the darkness. There is healing beyond the hurt. And no matter what you're facing, God has not abandoned you.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

  • Carrying The World
    2026/07/14

❤️ This episode is different. This one is personal.

Today, I'm celebrating one of the greatest women I've ever known—my mom, Betty Horne. Happy Birthday, Mom! 🎉🎂❤️

Growing up, I watched my mom raise five kids by herself while running her own business. As a child, I didn't fully understand the sacrifices she was making. I just knew she always came home with a smile, made time for us, and somehow found room in her heart for the neighborhood kids too.

Our house was always full of laughter, love, and people who needed a place to belong.

They called our home "The House of Pain." Not because it was filled with hurt, but because if you came in carrying the weight of the world, you usually left with your sides hurting from laughing so hard.

As I've grown older, I've realized something I couldn't see as a child:

The people who carry everyone else often carry the heaviest burdens themselves.

Mom, thank you for showing me what faith, strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love truly look like. Your life has inspired me in more ways than you'll ever know.

This episode is dedicated to you—and to every mother, father, grandparent, caregiver, and person who has quietly carried the weight for someone else.

If you're feeling overwhelmed today, I want to remind you of this:

You are not alone. Take a break from the noise. Turn your phone off. Find your quiet place. Talk to God. Cry if you need to. Let Him carry what you've been trying to carry on your own.

🎙️ New Episode: You're Not Alone... But You Feel Like You're Carrying the World on Your Shoulders.

Please join me in wishing my beautiful mom, Betty Horne, a very Happy Birthday! Drop her a birthday message in the comments—I know it would make her smile. ❤️🎉

And if this message encourages you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that they don't have to carry life's burdens alone.
