This episode of God and Our Dogs on Boerne Radio features host Meg Greer in conversation with Stan Leach, athletic director for Boerne ISD and author of children's books. The "Pawndering" episode replays a story from John Tipton about his blind, diabetic miniature Aussie, Festus, who has adapted to his condition by memorizing his surroundings and relying on his owner's guidance. Meg and Stan reflect on the story's parallels to faith — leaning on God during hard times, the value of community and shared testimony, and encouraging one another through storms, tying in Amazing Grace and 1 Thessalonians 5:11. The conversation then shifts to Stan's children's book Athletic As A Camel and its illustrator, followed by a preview of the upcoming BISD sports and extracurricular season.
