This chapter discusses the problems with that outlook and what it means that the world is of the wicked one. We will finish up this verse next week.

    The topic of praying for a brother who has fallen into sin (from last episode) brings up the subject of believers’ relationship to sin. It’s not that believers are incapable of sinning, or even that we are capable of ceasing from sin, but that we are no longer defined by a lifestyle of sin. This chapter also gets into human responsibility and God’s preservation. May we have full assurance that we are safe in the arms of Jesus.
