  • She Got Fired From Her Job… Now She Does Celebrities Nails | Lindsay Heigh | EP. 39 | Girls Like Me
    2026/10/28
    • Getting fired from your job can feel like a setback. But what happens when it pushes you towards something you were meant to do all along?

In this episode of Girls Like Me, I sit down with Lindsay Heigh, a nail artist who spent years building her skills alongside her studies and 9–5 job. After being fired from her social media role, Lindsay took the leap into doing nails full-time. Today, she's built a career doing what she loves and has worked with celebrity clients including Maya Jama, Sophia and Cinzia.

We talk about what it really takes to back yourself, build something from scratch and keep going when the results aren't coming yet.

      IN THIS EPISODE 🎙️

      - Getting fired from your job and turning an unexpected setback into a new chapter

      - Building a passion alongside a 9–5 before taking the leap

      - Posting content that barely got 12 likes and continuing anyway

      - How consistency and genuinely loving what you do can change everything

      - Working with celebrity clients and dealing with self-doubt- Moving to Manchester and taking a chance on a new chapter

      - Why you don't need expensive courses to start building your skills

      - Creating a business through word of mouth and making clients feel valued

      - Learning to care less about what other people think- Accepting that nobody has their entire life figured out

Lindsay's story is a reminder that the work you do quietly, long before anyone is paying attention, can become the thing that changes your life.

Whether you're questioning your career, building something on the side or trying to find the confidence to take your next step, this conversation is for you.
