Hard to believe that it’s been ten years since the release of Ghostbusters: Answer the Call. And, while this film has run the gamut of discourse for those last ten years, there are still things to be said about the film all this time later. Why was it such an important next step in the franchise, why did it have a thankless task of following in the footsteps in giants as result of it, and with the advantage of time and distance — what is one thing we now wish they would have done (and is the recent success of Katie Dippold’s Widow’s Bay a taste of an alternate universe’s success)? All these things, plus some off-topic documentary chat and a whole lot of Troy complaining about how hot it is in this week’s show!

Troy and Chris dust off the mics (and dusty they were) to talk about the amazing new details we’ve received on the new Ghostbusters animated series coming to Netflix in 2027: “Ghostbusters: Night Shift!” We’ll break down what’s been revealed about the characters, the tone of the show, how we think it fits into the larger lore tapestry, and just where the heck did a Terror Dog puppy come from and can we get one too?

Like the man says, better late than never — here’s part two of Chris’ amazing conversation with John Lambert! As you heard in the first episode, Lambert has an encyclopedic memory of his time coming over to work on Boss Films’ first few titles, including the making of Ghostbusters. And, as you’ll hear, after two whole episodes we still didn't cover everything! Which means you should tune in to both parts and tell us your questions or the things you want to hear more about.
