  • PREVIEW: Requiem of My Dream; Birth of My Reality
    2025/05/11

Yall fw the preview?! I think im going to do this more often bc I know yall been begging me to post more but mama be needing to rest!! But I don’t want to leave yall hanging, especially the ones seeking possible answers for their similar situations too. Yall rly inspire me to keep creating. Thank you :)

I think a lot of people get confused of what spirituality and what being a “good person” is. I speak of myself. Often times, I’d catch myself withholding my emotions and even making them more palatable for people who haven’t given me the same consideration and enough is enough! Healing has always been about facing your darkness to find your light but we cannot ignore the darkness and they deserve just as much of a platform as your light. I’d even argue that your darkness deserves it the MOST. Bc only then can we know the root to a person, know where their light stems from and learn to respect it. A quote that sticks with me is “when you have been left in the middle of the ocean, those people need to KNOW what the sharks have done to you.” And it’s true. You expressing your pain for your wellbeing should not be the downfall of a HEALTHY relationship. That relationship starts with self though. I can’t wait for yall to hear the episode to come🫂 stay blessed my babies!!!

Please hml on any platform if you’d like to be on an episode or have feedback!

  • When Accountability Fails, No Contact Prevails
    2025/05/07

I went no contact with my father and emotionally cut off my family. It wasn’t something I wanted to do but needed to. For too long, I’ve been the laughing stock of my family in moments I’ve needed them the most. My mental health doesn’t get taken seriously but gets made fun of/ignored and that isn’t love. It’s bullying. It’s manipulation even especially when they try to continue on like nothing happened. So in removing myself, I liberated myself and found community in people who actually love me the way I need. And it’s a beautiful disaster! I’m learning to love it more, every single day.

Although that’s unfortunate, in calling back that power I was able to do so in other aspects of my life too. I confronted the men that have assaulted me and made a very unexpected friend in doing so. This is a podcast about continuing to hope for GOOD in this world and not giving up on your inner voice. There will be many doors closed in your face and locked but you have a master-key within you for doors meant for you if you take the time to curate it.

Contact me on how this resonated w you or if you wanna be on an episode! Share your truth my black sheep’s🫂

  • Break The Silence⛓️‍💥: Time for Change (555)✨
    2025/04/05

To bring in Sexual Assault Awareness month, I’ve finally decided that I am ready to tell my story. For years, I’ve kept myself stagnant in the energy of being perceived as anything else but a survivor and I see now how that has affected me mentally. But no more.

In this episode I unpack some of my sexual trauma in hopes I can give the next person the strength to speak up on theirs. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been sexually assaulted and it’s ever. Single. Finger. I didn’t report or even speak on most of them because I was influenced by stigmas and rape culture but I free myself of that now. I break this cycle of silence for myself. For my little brother. For my family. For my community. For you. If you can’t stand with me in the forefront, spread what you learn to someone you love. Take care <3

Please feel free to hml on my IG @ryynizzle or my email rysimoned@gmail.com if this touched you! I’d love to hear your stories and uplift you too :) Let’s build this community yall!!! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

  • Gaining Self-Discipline: Break The Cycle
    2022/11/21

In this episode I elaborate on how having real and vulnerable conversations with your elders can really benefit your life, especially as black people. Too often we are told that our emotions are what handicaps us when in reality, they are what makes us stronger and more united. You can't get to the root of who you are or why you are, until you talk to your caregivers that brought you up about the traumas they may have unintentionally caused, and even learn of theirs. This episode is about owning your shit and breaking generational cycles so that you may enter into a healthier, happier, and more understanding, YOU.
