Gettin’ the Tea with Leila C’ is where investigative storytelling meets personality, curiosity, and just the right amount of tea!

Written, narrated and hosted by me, Leila, trained journalist, editorial writer, and former news producer with 15 years in Canadian newsrooms, my aim is to shine a spotlight on some of the lesser-known, yet equally as shocking violent crimes that have taken place --just north of the 49th parallel.

Join me as I do a deep-dive into some of the coldest headlines the Great White North has to offer, with my signature cinematic audio-first true crime podcast.

  • A Bullet In The Dark: The Johnson-Bentley Family Murders

A Bullet In The Dark: The Johnson-Bentley Family Murders
    2026/10/10

In the summer of 1982, three generations of a close-knit Kelowna family packed up their camper for a vacation into British Columbia's Clearwater Valley.

    They never made it home.

What followed was the "Wells Gray Murders"—a tragedy that triggered a cross-country manhunt and forever changed a community.

The case was ultimately cracked by a single, closely guarded local secret: a bullet hole hidden inside a camper door.
