Genesis is where arguments about reality go to fight, because whoever owns the beginning gets to reshape everything downstream: meaning, ethics, identity, and even what counts as “good.” We come at the creation account as more than a debate about timelines. We treat it like the foundation stones of a biblical worldview, and we ask why so many modern stories keep trying to renovate those stones until God is no longer allowed to define His world.

We make a plain language case for six literal days, drawing from the repeated “evening and morning” pattern, the narrative feel of the text, and the way the Bible later ties the work week and Sabbath to God’s creative week. Along the way, we talk about the temptation to explain miracles away, the limits of “and before that,” and why even skeptics still have to account for existence itself. Then we slow down and walk through the days: light before the sun, boundaries between realms, a cosmos filled with stars for seasons, and a creation that’s meant to produce life after its kind.

The center of gravity lands on humanity made in the image of God. We connect Eden to the tabernacle and temple imagery, talk about dominion as stewardship, and push back on cultural narratives that worship nature while treating people as the problem. Genesis says creation is “very good,” and that claim collides with everything from blurred boundaries to attacks on human dignity.
