In Season 1, Episode 14 of A Tithe of Time: Verse by Verse, we begin Genesis 3 with Genesis 3:1–7, reading from the ESV.
The serpent enters the story and begins by questioning what God actually said. As the conversation unfolds, God’s command is challenged, the forbidden fruit becomes desirable, and the man and woman eat. Their eyes are opened—but what follows is not what the serpent’s words might have led them to expect.
We also look closely at what Genesis actually tells us about the serpent, his question to the woman, and what the passage does—and does not—tell us about the man’s presence during the temptation.
Follow A Tithe of Time as we work through the Bible from beginning to end, Verse by Verse.
And remember—tithe your time.
