    On Memorial Day 1969, a pair of 19-year-old junior college friends left a vacation home in Ocean City around 5 a.m., stopped for an early breakfast at the Somers Point Diner and then disappeared. Their bodies were found three days later, 200 feet off the Garden State Parkway at mile marker 31.9 in Egg Harbor. Their slayings remain unsolved to this day.   • NJ mom went to get ice cream for her kids. She never came home.

    Gabrielle Mueller left her 9 and 8-year-old kids with a teenage sitter on April 1, 2001 so she could go to McDonald's to buy them McFlurries ice cream. Her strangled body was found in a wooded area in Lakewood, N.J., two days later. Her killer remains at large, though investigators believe the case is "solvable."   • Did a former NJ gym teacher kill his wife and infant son?

    In December 1966, during Bruce Springsteen's senior year at what was then known as Freehold Regional High School, his hometown was rocked by a double killing discovered at the home of one of the school's teachers. Ernest Furblur, 28 at the time, coached a highly competitive boys' gymnastics team and taught physical education at the school. When Furblur came home from work on Dec. 2, 1966, his 22-year-old wife and infant son were missing. Three days later, police found their bodies inside the Furblur home.
