After a successful high school career in West Palm Beach, Florida, he signed with Iowa to help upgrade the placekicking and punting. Chad has been in the newspaper business for over 34 years, mainly covering Iowa high school and University of Iowa sports teams. He worked at the Iowa City Press-Citizen in high school, and later worked for the Voice of the Hawkeyes, Cedar Rapids Gazette, USA Today and Des Moines Register. He grew up with Brion in Iowa City, and attended college at Iowa with Nick and Brion. He gives insights into Iowa Athletics and how he approaches games and relationships with players and coaches, along with his memories of Iowa sports growing up in Iowa City.
