Un message d’espoir en français, « Crois au Seigneur Jésus et tu seras sauvé, toi et toute ta maison. » Ces paroles ont été prononcées par Paul et Silas à un gardien de prison qui était sur le point de se tuer. Il pensait que tous les prisonniers s’étaient échappés après qu’un violent tremblement de terre eut secoué les chaînes et les entraves de chaque prisonnier et ouvert à la volée les portes de la prison. Paul et Silas lui assurèrent que tous les prisonniers étaient encore là. Jusqu’au tremblement de terre, Paul et Silas priaient et chantaient des cantiques à Dieu pendant que les autres prisonniers les écoutaient.

Le gardien de prison, effrayé, s’approcha de Paul et Silas en demandant ce qu’il pouvait faire pour être sauvé.

Bien des choses dans ce monde peuvent nous préoccuper ou nous effrayer, comme le cancer, une grosse facture ou une visite chez le dentiste. Nous pouvons avoir un espoir purement humain et dire : j’espère que nous pourrons payer cette facture ou que le rendez-vous chez le dentiste ne sera pas trop douloureux.

Paul et Silas chantaient des cantiques à Dieu et, avec une espérance assurée en Jésus-Christ, purent dire : « Crois au Seigneur Jésus et tu seras sauvé, toi et toute ta maison. » Actes 16: 31

A Message of Hope in French “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household.’

These words were spoken by Paul and Silas to a prison officer who was about to kill himself. He had thought all the prisoners had escaped after a massive earthquake shook the chains and shackles off each prisoner and flung open the prison doors. Paul and Silas assured him that all the prisoners were still there. Up until the earthquake, Paul and Silas had been praying and singing hymns to God with the other prisoners listening.

The prison officer was frightened and approached Paul and Silas asking what he could do to be saved.

Many things in this world may concern or frighten us like cancer, a large bill or a trip to the dentist. We could have a worldly hope and say I hope we can pay that bill or that the dentist appointment won’t be too painful.

Paul and Silas were singing hymns to God and as a confident hope in Christ Jesus were able say , “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household.” Acts 16: 31

رسالة رجاء باللغة العربية، «آمن بالرب يسوع فتخلص أنت وأهل بيتك.» هذه الكلمات قالها بولس وسيلا لضابط سجن كان على وشك أن يقتل نفسه. فقد ظن أن جميع السجناء قد هربوا بعد أن هزّ زلزال عظيم السلاسل والقيود عن كل سجين وفتح أبواب السجن على مصاريعها. وأكّد له بولس وسيلا أن جميع السجناء ما زالوا هناك. وحتى وقت وقوع الزلزال، كان بولس وسيلا يصلّيان ويرنّمان لله بينما كان بقية السجناء يستمعون.

كان ضابط السجن خائفًا، فتقدّم إلى بولس وسيلا وسألهما ماذا يمكنه أن يفعل لكي يخلص.

هناك أمور كثيرة في هذا العالم قد تقلقنا أو تخيفنا مثل السرطان، أو فاتورة كبيرة، أو زيارة إلى طبيب الأسنان. وقد يكون لدينا رجاء دنيوي فنقول: أرجو أن نستطيع سداد تلك الفاتورة، أو أن موعد طبيب الأسنان لن يكون مؤلمًا جدًا.

كان بولس وسيلا يرنّمان لله، وبسبب رجائهما الواثق في المسيح يسوع استطاعا أن يقولا: «آمن بالرب يسوع فتخلص أنت وأهل بيتك.» Acts 16: 31

Послание надежды на русском языке: «Веруй в Господа Иисуса, и спасёшься ты и весь дом твой». Эти слова были сказаны Павлом и Силой тюремному стражу, который уже собирался покончить с собой. Он подумал, что все заключённые сбежали после сильного землетрясения, которое сорвало цепи и оковы с каждого узника и распахнуло двери темницы. Павел и Сила заверили его, что все заключённые всё ещё там. До землетрясения Павел и Сила молились и пели Богу гимны, а остальные узники слушали.

Тюремный страж испугался и, подойдя к Павлу и Силе, спросил, что ему нужно сделать, чтобы спастись.

Многое в этом мире может тревожить или пугать нас, например рак, большой счёт или поход к стоматологу. У нас может быть мирская надежда, и мы можем сказать: надеюсь, мы сможем оплатить этот счёт, или что приём у стоматолога будет не слишком болезненным.
