Captain Donovan has had a great career with FDNY and now he adds author to his resume. * Appointed on May 19, 1979 * Assigned to Engine 239 * Transferred to Engine 214 'The Nut House" in June 1982 * Transferred to Ladder 111 in June of 1986 * Worked day tours as the illustrator for WNYF in 1991 * Promoted to Lieutenant in June 1995 * Assigned to Engine 290 "POSA" in July 1996 * Promoted to Captain effective 9/16/2001 and assigned to Operations immediately afterwards. * Covered in Queens from late October 2001 until Jan-Feb 2002 * Assigned to S.O.C. Jan-Feb 2002 - Assigned to Squad 18 U.F.O until Captain Downey's promotion to B.C. * Permanently assigned to Squad 18 September 2002 * Retired July 2003 After Cap's retirement he was hired by UFOA in July 2005 as the first Retiree Liaison and retired from that in December 2021. Lastly, in September of this year, Cap published a book called, "Too Many Good Men". Tune in as Captain Donovan talks about the book and shares his experiences from 911.Gonna be another great show.
