  • The rise of the circular economy
    2020/07/02

Fanny Moizant is President and Co-Founder of Vestiaire Collective, the leading global platform for desirable pre-owned fashion - and she is an undisputed pioneer of circularity. Fanny came up with the idea to launch Vestiaire Collective after noticing significant changes in the way that people were consuming fashion: that is, they were buying much, much more, yet wearing and possessing so much less. Vestiaire Collective enables conscious people to celebrate and participate in a sustainable alternative to throw-away fashion and gives those who give a fuck the opportunity to easily join the circular fashion movement every single day.

On this episode of GAF Is The New Black, Fanny and host, Jo Lorenz, talk about the circular economy, excessive linear consumerism and, of course, climate change.

  • Black Lives Matter
    2020/06/14

Frederick Joseph is an award-winning marketing professional, media representation advocate, and author of the upcoming highly anticipated book The Black Friend (2021). He consistently writes for publications such as the Huffington Post, NowThisNews, The Independent; is a Forbes Under 30 list maker; was a national surrogate for the Elizabeth Warren campaign; and was the sole creator of the largest GoFundMe campaign in history - the #BlackPantherChallenge - which ultimately raised more than USD950,000 and allowed more than 75,000 children worldwide to see the movie Black Panther for free.

Yet more than this, Frederick has so importantly been on the frontlines of the Black Lives Matter movement and protests in New York City these past weeks, where he has been tirelessly demanding for justice for all black lives. On this episode of GAF Is The New Black, Frederick and host, Jo Lorenz, talk about the Black Lives Matter movement, about social justice and about the perilous realities of cultures of entitlement.
