Erik Jensen is an award-winning journalist, biographer, screenwriter and poet. He is the founding editor of The Saturday Paper and editor-in-chief of Schwartz Media. He's written a bunch of incredible books and it's very likely he spells "friend" correctly in all of them. On today's episode, Erik talks about struggling to make friends as a child, Nan School, being almost exclusively friends with older ladies, making friends with people from magazines, cold-calling people out of the phone book, losing a dear friend, writing letters, and an unforgettable story about "cooking your emotions".

Ben Lee began his career as a young teenager in the early 90’s, in the Australian lo-fi punk band Noise Addict, who were discovered by Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys. That began an extraordinary career that has been both eclectic and eccentric. Ben has put out over 20 solo albums that have made romantics swoon for multiple generations and catapulted him to national treasure status. But enough of all that, we're here to talk about fwendship!
