Kristopher Ramsaran’s cricket journey has never followed a straight line.
In this episode of The Ananya Subramanian Show, the Trinidadian-American cricketer discusses developing the rare craft of slow left-arm wrist-spin, representing Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket, and navigating the uncertainty that followed his early opportunities.
Kristopher shares how he rebuilt his career in the United States, competed in Minor League Cricket with teams including the New England Eagles, East Bay Blazers and Silicon Valley Strikers, and began helping develop the next generation through coaching.
He also reflects on being selected by the Los Angeles Knight Riders, learning alongside international stars such as Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, and becoming part of their 2026 Major League Cricket championship-winning squad.
This is a conversation about an unconventional bowling craft, adapting to a new country, remaining prepared when opportunities are limited, and continuing to believe in yourself when the journey takes longer than expected.
