What are you carrying right now that you haven't told anybody about? In this episode, Rachelle speaks straight to the heart of every woman who's ever smiled through pain. From a daughter's perspective, she unpacks the silent struggles so many of us know too well the heartbreak that made you question your worth, the humbling season of starting over when you thought you'd be further by now, the burnout of being the glue for everybody while nobody asks who holds you, and the heavy work of forgiving what was never apologized for but this isn't just about naming the pain it's about growing through it. Rachelle shares 4 real, practical steps: how to name what you're feeling so you can actually heal it, how to set one boundary this week without guilt, how to give yourself the same grace you freely give everyone else, and how to let yourself be held by God, by community, by rest instead of always being the strong one. If you've ever been taught to earn love by being perfect, quiet, or low-maintenance, this one will hit home: "You are not hard to love. You were just taught to love hard people."

The urge to call your dad or mom after they’re gone is not a sign you’re stuck—it’s proof the love was real. If grief has ever hit you hardest on an ordinary Tuesday, a birthday, or a milestone they should have seen, this gentle, powerful episode gives you language, comfort, and a way forward. Rachelle speaks directly to daughters carrying that ache, naming the “grief reflex” that sends your hand to the phone before your heart catches up. She explains why the pattern lingers, why shame has no place in it, and how that reflex can become a healing ritual instead of a wound you keep reopening. This is for anyone grieving a parent, especially daughters who feel the ache of birthdays, holidays, promotions, car trouble, and every small moment they wish they could still share. It’s also for the people around them who want to help without rushing, fixing, or changing the subject. If you’ve been wondering why the longing still comes back, or how to honor the relationship without getting lost in the pain, this episode will meet you there. Keep listening for comfort, perspective, and a reminder that heaven has the loudest reception of all.

    You’ll discover:

    • Why your brain still reaches for the person who was your “first call”
    • How to turn unsent texts, voicemails, and whispered porch conversations into meaningful ritual
    • The five-step “call forward” practice for the next time grief hits
    • How Jeremiah 33:3 and Psalm 34:18 speak to the loneliness of loss
    • What loving friends and family should say when you mention wanting to call them again

  • EP : 7 When the Professional Becomes The Daughter: Grief doesn’t care about Credentials
    2026/09/18

What happens when you’re trained to help everyone else through grief but suddenly, the person grieving is you?

In this powerful and deeply personal episode of From the Eyes of a Daddy’s Girl Podcast, Rachelle Boyd-Huff sits down with licensed therapist Dodi Moncrief for an honest conversation about losing their fathers and discovering that professional experience could not prepare either of them for the pain of becoming grieving daughters.

Rachelle shares what it was like to spend years as a hospice nurse, knowing the signs of the dying process, yet being unable to turn off her clinical mind long enough to simply be Daddy’s girl. Dodi opens up about being a therapist who helps others navigate trauma while privately struggling with anxiety, fear of death, physical symptoms of grief, and eventually realizing that she needed a therapist of her own.

Together, they talk about the pressure to “handle grief better” because of their professions, the expectation to appear strong because of their faith, and the truth that grief and faith can coexist. They also get real about therapy, medication, triggers, self-care, support groups, knowing when you need additional help, and the painful realization that the people you expected to show up during your darkest season may not be the people who actually do.

Most importantly, this conversation is about what happens next. How do you keep living when the person who was your safe place is gone? How do you learn your triggers? How do you accept support? How do you create a new normal without pretending the loss no longer hurts? And how can the very pain that changed you become part of your purpose?

This episode reminds us that credentials don’t make you immune to grief, faith doesn’t eliminate pain, asking for help isn’t weakness, and healing doesn’t mean you stop missing the person you love. Sometimes healing is moment by moment. Sometimes God sends you a support tribe you never expected and sometimes your greatest pain becomes the place where your purpose begins.

When grief makes you feel emotionally homeless, the hardest thing to find is not answers - it is a safe place to land. Rachelle delivers a deeply honest message for the strong woman, the caregiver, and the Daddy's girl who is tired of being everybody else's safe space but has nowhere to exhale herself.

She unpacks what a true safe space really looks like, why being surrounded is not the same as being supported, and how to recognize the difference between people who love you and people who are actually safe for your healing. This episode goes straight into the tension of losing someone who once felt like your safest place, and the lonliness that can linger in a room full of people.

Rachelle also shares a powerful framework for creating your own "safe space list" - the people, places, practices, prayers, and boundaries that help you regulate when everything feels overwhelming. She speaks directly to the woman who is exhausted from holding everyone else together.

If you need a reminder that healing does not require you to hide your hurt, this episode offers comfort, clarity, and a grounded path forward. Perfect for anyone navigating grief, setting boundaries, or learning how to become a safer place for themselves.

  • EP: 5 The Love Between A Daddy and his Daughter

In this solo episode of From The Eyes Of A Daddy’s Girl Podcast, Rachelle is speaking directly to grieving daughters about the powerful love between a father and his daughter and how that love can shape the little girl she is and the woman she becomes.

A father’s presence can influence how a daughter sees herself, understands her worth, receives love, builds relationships, develops confidence, and navigates life. His words, his hugs, his protection, his wisdom, and simply knowing he is there can become part of her foundation.

However, when you’ve known that kind of love and then lose your Daddy, you don’t simply lose a parent. You lose the person you still want to call when life happens. You have moments when you need his advice, want one more hug, or just want to hear him say, “Everything is going to be okay.” Then reality hits all over again you can’t pick up the phone and call him anymore.

Yet even in the missing, something beautiful remains: his legacy is within you. The lessons he taught you, the love he gave you, the strength he poured into you, and the memories you created didn’t leave when he did. You carry them forward and little by little, you begin to realize that some of the very things you miss about him are now living through you.

This is a conversation about love, identity, loss, healing, legacy, and learning to keep going when the man who helped shape your world is no longer physically here because the little girl inside of us never completely stops needing her Daddy.

    Once a Daddy’s Girl, always a Daddy’s Girl.

  • EP: 4 Grief Outside of Death

What happens when grief shows up but nobody has died? In this episode of From the Eyes of a Daddy’s Girl, we explore grief outside of death, the kind of grief that comes from relationships changing, dreams ending, people walking away, unanswered questions, broken connections, and moments in life that force us to say goodbye to what we thought would always be. Grief isn’t always about losing a person to death. Sometimes, we grieve the relationship we wished we had. We grieve the version of ourselves we used to be. We grieve opportunities, family dynamics, friendships, marriages, childhoods, expectations, and even the future we imagined and sometimes, the hardest grief is grieving someone who is still alive. Through a daughter’s perspective, this episode creates space for the uncomfortable truth that loss can happen without a funeral. There may be no sympathy cards, no flowers, and no formal acknowledgment of what you’re going through but the pain is still real. Join me as I talk about recognizing these invisible losses, giving ourselves permission to grieve them, and learning that healing doesn’t always mean forgetting or getting back what we lost. Sometimes healing means accepting what is, releasing what was, and finding peace in what comes next because grief isn’t only about death. Sometimes, grief is about letting go and sometimes, letting go is how we finally begin to heal.

What happens when two daughters grow up with completely different experiences of their fathers?

In this powerful episode, we explore the stories of two daughters navigating two very different father-daughter journeys.

One daughter experienced a relationship with her dad from the very beginning a bond shaped by childhood memories, love, lessons, laughter, and the years they shared together.

The other daughter is trying to build that relationship later in her adult life navigating the questions, emotions, missed moments, expectations, and uncertainty that can come when the relationship you longed for is something you are still trying to create.

Two daughters. Two perspectives. Two different starting points but underneath both stories is the same desire: to be seen, loved, accepted, and connected to Dad.

This episode opens an honest conversation about father-daughter relationships, childhood experiences, reconciliation, emotional distance, forgiveness, and what it means to pursue a relationship when the journey doesn’t look the way you imagined.

This is a conversation about love, longing, healing, and the relationships we are still learning how to build.

You are not behind, unqualified, or missing what it takes. The real breakthrough comes when you stop obsessing over what you lack and start seeing everything God has already placed in your hands. Rachelle delivers a deeply personal, faith-filled reminder for anyone who has been second-guessing their calling, comparing their journey, or waiting to feel "ready" before stepping forward.
