In this inaugural episode, host Zainab Shah introduces listeners to From Struggle to Strength, a weekly program of Sisters Community Centre.

You'll hear about the programs and supports offered by Sisters Community Centre, and what to expect in this program.

Women who have achieved success in business, non-profit management, academia, social services -- well, you name it -- we'll be featuring all this and more. We'll also be highlighting a who's who from every sector and from as many communities as possible to share and show how success can be achieved.

From Struggle to Strength is our first and lead program in this podcast. We'll be launching other, micro-casts and mini programs in the weeks ahead, and introducing a greater diversity of voices and backgrounds.

Welcome to the Sisters Community Centre official podcast.

Sisters Community Centre was created to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where women can connect, learn, and grow together. We saw the need for a community where women, especially newcomers and those facing challenges, could find support, resources, and meaningful connections.

Our mission is to empower women through education, mentorship, wellness programs, employment support, and community engagement. We believe that when women succeed, families and communities become stronger.
