  • Moving Forward (Vision Casting for 2026)
    2025/12/10

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, Rebecca Martin, and Dave Skorupa as they reflect on last Sunday's message about the plans we have as a church coming up in 2026. As a church, we will be reading through the entire Bible chronologically in 2026 using the Bible Recap. Many of our Sunday School classes and even the Sunday Sermons will be tied into this. Rebecca Martin has read through the Bible using the Bible Recap multiple times, which gives her a unique insight into this system. In this episode, we reflect on Sunday's sermon and provide our thoughts on the theme selected for the year 2026, which is "Forward". Greg used Philippians 3 to cast a vision for this theme and how we are to press on as believers towards maturity in Christ. Listen in as Trey, Mavric, Rebecca, and Dave provide their thoughts and excitement as we begin planning for this as a church. If you have never read through the Bible or are interested in what it looks like in a year, listen in and see what you think.

  • Gratitude Finale (How awesome is it that we are adopted as God's children?)
    2025/12/02

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Sam Beavers as they reflect on last Sunday's message about gratitude and how we should just be grateful for him and his gift of adoption. Matt Passmore preached at the Chaffee campus using Ephesians 5 to explain how we should be grateful for God, his presence, and his mercy that we are chosen to be his adopted children. In Exodus 3, God explained to Moses that he is I AM because he is above any name. This is the one and only God who has chosen us as his children, and by living in his presence, we should be showering him with gratitude. Trey, Mavric, and Sam dive deeper into the passage in this episode and reflect more on what this means in our lives. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how our gratitude grows as we allow the Spirit to fill us.

  • Gratitude (How Gratitude Leads to Generosity)
    2025/11/25

Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Abigail Woodring reflect on last Sunday's message about gratitude and how it creates generosity in us as believers. Being generous is an outflow of gratitude and reflects God's grace in our lives. We sometimes forget the impact we have on others when we are generous and not just with money. There are many things we should be generous with, and when we are, we glorify the one who provided these things to begin with. Trey, Mavric, and Abigail dive deeper into the passage in this episode and reflect more on what this means in our lives. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how gratitude impacts generosity in our lives.

  • Being Grateful for His Presence and Access to Him
    2025/11/11

Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Andrew Tarlton reflect on last Sunday's message about gratitude and how believers should live in a state of gratefulness for access to Him. Having direct access to God is a gift, and by being grateful for that gift, we use it more regularly. By using this access more, believers experience his presence more, which leads to the gift of peace that only God can provide and further trust in him. Trey, Mavric, and Andrew dive deeper into the passage in this episode and reflect more on what this means in our lives. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how gratitude serves to grow our spiritual triangles.

  • Is Gratitude Part of God's Design?
    2025/11/04

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Caleb Yerton as they reflect on last Sunday's message about gratitude and God's design for man. God created man and woman with the intention that we would live our lives in gratitude for him. He intends gratitude to be an integral part of the transformation into the image of Christ. We can think of gratitude as being the spiritual barometer of our lives. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to give thanks in all circumstances, which points us to the reality that we need to be grateful in every situation. Trey, Mavric, and Caleb dive deeper into the passage in this episode and reflect more on what this means in our lives. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how gratitude serves to grow our spiritual triangles.

  • Questions We Ask Jesus (Where are you going and what is the way?)
    2025/10/28

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Eric Fesmire as they reflect on last Sunday's message about the questions we often ask Jesus. At some point in their life, everyone asks the question about where they go after death. Jesus reminded the disciples in John 14 that he is the only way to the Father, which is where he was going. Greg taught out of John 14 to explain the truth of what is after death and the only way to get there, which is through faith in Jesus. Trey, Mavric, and Eric dive deeper into the passage in this episode and reflect more on the perspective of the disciples. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

  • Questions We Ask Jesus (Are You the One or Should I Look For Someone Else?)
    2025/10/25

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Abigail Woodring as they reflect on last Sunday's message about the questions we often ask Jesus. When we go through trials or are seeking answers, it can be a test of our faith. Pastor Greg used Luke 7, where John the Baptist had these questions for Jesus and explained this exact feeling. What we have to remember is that Jesus is always the answer, and that is more than enough. Trey, Mavric, and Abigail talk about how Jesus is always the answer and what that means in our lives. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how Jesus is more than enough.

  • Questions We Ask Jesus (Why Couldn't We Do It?)
    2025/10/14

Join Trey Overton, Mavric Herrera, and Tristan Weaver as they reflect on last Sunday's message about the questions we often ask Jesus. It is easy to get comfortable and settle for ordinary, but Christ offers something far greater than that. The disciples in Mark 9 knew they had cast out demons before, and this caused them to rely on their abilities and not seek God's power through prayer to cast this boy's demons out. Trey, Mavric, and Tristan talk about how Christ wants to move in big ways through his power in your life. Listen in and reflect with First Baptist Fort Smith on how Christ desires you to seek him through prayer before doing anything.
