Brock welcomes Ian Carter to the studio for his first-ever radio show and podcast appearance, and there’s a lot more to Ian than meets the eye.
At 6'8", Ian shares his journey from playing college basketball at Drury University to taking his career overseas, where basketball took him through Spain, Italy, Germany, Cameroon and Nigeria. He even got the chance to watch Kobe Bryant play with Team USA and see Lionel Messi and Neymar live in Barcelona.
These days, Ian has traded the basketball court for the recording studio, working as a music producer at Memento Studios in Springfield while living in Northwest Arkansas. He and Brock talk about chasing careers you actually love, the changing game of basketball, music, sports, life overseas and what eventually brought Ian home.
Of course, it’s still Brock in the Morning, so the conversation goes everywhere. They debate whether Thanksgiving really is the greatest holiday, tailgating versus watching the game at home, the rules of eating leftovers, Airbnb guests who forget they’re not alone, and the everyday activities that somehow qualify as extreme sports.
Plus, there’s weird news, random facts, celebrity gossip, good news, plenty of basketball talk, and Ian officially gets his first taste of being behind the microphone.
A former professional basketball player, a music producer, a 6'8" first-time radio guest, and four hours of completely unpredictable conversation. Welcome to the show, Ian Carter.
