In this episode of Stories That Sell, I’m joined by Derby-based lead generation expert Daisy Ferns for a conversation about motherhood, business, high standards, and why imperfect action changed everything.
Before building multiple successful businesses, Daisy was a secondary school teacher working in university management, never planning to become an entrepreneur. But after becoming a mum and dealing with years of sleep deprivation, she reached a point where something had to change.
Within weeks of returning from maternity leave, Daisy retrained, left her job, and started a business from scratch in the parenting space. Since then, she’s built her businesses through conversations, relationships, and taking action before feeling ready, rather than relying on a huge audience or constantly being online.
We talk about the pressure of high standards, learning to trust yourself, building a business around real life, and why Daisy now proudly calls herself the Queen of Imperfect Action.
This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt stuck waiting for the “right time” before making a move.
