In this episode, we begin the book of Amos by reading chapters 1 through 4, where God delivers strong messages of judgment against surrounding nations and against Israel itself. Through the prophet Amos, God reveals that He holds all people accountable for injustice, cruelty, and oppression.

These chapters confront social corruption, empty religious practices, and hearts hardened by pride and comfort. Amos 1–4 reminds us that God cares deeply about how people treat one another, and that true worship is inseparable from justice, humility, and obedience.

In this episode, we read the entire book of Joel, chapters 1 through 3, where a devastating locust plague becomes a powerful symbol of judgment, repentance, and future restoration. Joel calls the people to recognize that their suffering is not random, but a wake-up call to return to the Lord with sincere hearts.

These chapters also contain one of the strongest messages of hope in the Old Testament, as God promises to pour out His Spirit on all people and restore what was lost. Joel ends with a vision of God’s final justice and blessing, showing that repentance leads not to despair, but to renewal, healing, and lasting hope in God’s faithfulness.

In this episode, we read Hosea chapters 11 through 14, where judgment gives way to one of the most tender pictures of God’s love in all of Scripture. Despite Israel’s repeated rebellion, God speaks as a loving Father who cannot abandon His child.

These final chapters reveal God’s compassion, mercy, and desire to heal and restore. Instead of ending with destruction, Hosea closes with a call to repentance and a promise of renewal. Hosea 11–14 reminds us that no matter how far we wander, God’s love remains steadfast, and His greatest desire is always to bring His people home.
