A three-year-old kid is out here playing soccer like a pro and the internet is already trying to draft him, adopt him, and argue about where he’s “from.” We start there, but we don’t stay there long, because once we get going, the conversation turns into a real snapshot of modern life: parenting under cameras, going viral before you can spell your name, and how fast grown folks build a whole story off a short clip.
Then we veer into AI, trust, and entertainment, with ChatGPT catching strays and Tubi getting the kind of love only a group chat can give. We talk low-budget movies that look like they were shot on a phone, why some of them are weirdly addictive, and how our brains adjust to “content” instead of craft. It’s jokes, but it’s also about what we believe now and why everybody’s skeptical.
Jess drops a big update: she’s seven months pregnant, and that opens the door to real talk about raising boys versus raising girls, safety, discipline, and how different childhood feels now. From there, it turns into pure nostalgia: being outside all day, old-school punishments, grandparents going soft, Halloween costumes made out of whatever was in the house, and the mission to hit the good neighborhoods for the best candy. We even get into the serious question: would you take $100K if your partner could read five years of your texts?
If you laughed, argued, or nodded along, subscribe to Nobody’s Talking, share this episode with a friend, and leave a review telling us your answer: would you take the money or protect the texts?
