Hey there, and welcome. I'm Julia, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. If you're tuning in right now on this Friday morning, I'm guessing you might be feeling that familiar weight—you know, that sense that everything's moving just a little too fast, that there's too much pulling at your attention from every direction. Maybe you woke up already thinking about your to-do list, or perhaps you're carrying some tension from the week. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that taking this time for yourself right now is exactly what you need. So let's settle in together. Find yourself a comfortable seat, somewhere you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes. You can be on your couch, in your car during a lunch break, or even sitting at your kitchen table. This is your space now. Go ahead and let your shoulders drop away from your ears, and just notice where your body naturally wants to rest. Take a deep breath in through your nose, and exhale slowly through your mouth, like you're fogging a mirror. Good. One more time. In, and out. Feel that? That's your nervous system beginning to recognize that it's safe to unwind. Now, I want to guide you through something I call the sponge technique, because relaxation isn't about forcing yourself to be calm—it's about gently releasing what you've been holding. Imagine your whole body is like a sponge that's been squeezed tight all morning. As you breathe in, visualize warm, golden light filling you from the top of your head down to your toes. And as you exhale, imagine yourself slowly releasing, like that sponge opening up and letting go of everything it's been gripping onto. The tension, the worry, the rush—it all just drains away. Stay with this for a moment. Breathe in the relaxation, breathe out the resistance. In with ease, out with effort. With each exhale, you're becoming softer, more spacious, more yourself. And here's something beautiful I want you to remember: relaxation isn't a luxury, and it isn't selfish. It's maintenance. It's how you keep yourself whole so you can show up as your best self. So today, I want you to carry this practice with you. When you feel that tension creeping back in—maybe around two o'clock when your energy dips—pause and take just three conscious breaths using the sponge technique. That's all it takes to reset. Thank you so much for joining me here on Relaxation today. Your commitment to your own peace matters more than you know.
