Are you really listening—or are you just waiting for your turn to speak?
In this week’s Friday Focus, we’re looking at the simple but deeply convicting instruction in James 1:19–20: be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
As we head into the weekend and spend time with our families, friends, and church family, let’s practice listening before we respond. We don’t have to correct every misunderstanding, say every thought that comes into our minds, or win every disagreement.
Sometimes wisdom looks like being quiet long enough to truly understand the person in front of us.
Your Friday Focus this week: Listen before you respond.
My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word rather than the world around us.
