Hello there,
Welcome to this week's show.
Two hours celebrating the voices, songs and stories of remarkable American women.
In Hour One, JC travels through generations of great American female artists—from the soul of Aretha and Erma Franklin and the timeless songwriting of Carole King, through Diana Ross, Cher, Donna Summer and Pat Benatar, to global icons including Tina Turner, Madonna, Whitney Houston, P!nk and Miley Cyrus.
Then, in Hour Two, the spotlight belongs to the incomparable Dolly Parton. It’s a warm and affectionate celebration of her music, life and extraordinary legacy, featuring classics including 9 to 5, Jolene, Coat of Many Colors, Islands in the Stream, Here You Come Again and the beautiful I Will Always Love You.
Great voices, unforgettable songs and a heartfelt tribute to one of music’s most beloved storytellers.
Please Enjoy
