The Small Places
Join us as Pastor Brady’s wife Bridget Wright delivers a message in our series “Worship That Costs” titled “ The Small Places”
Worship That Wears an Apron
• A mother's worship wipes tears, not stages
• A mother's worship changes diapers, not microphones
• A mother's worship is stirring a pot while holding a child
Point 1: Worship in the Everyday
• Whisper prayers for patience
• Discipline with love
Colossians 3:23–24 (NIV)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
Question: Where in your daily routine can you intentionally offer a moment of worship to
God?
Point 2: Worship in Surrender
• Sacrifice = worship
• Trust God with children, your day, and the unknown
Romans 12:1 (NIV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice…this is your true worship.”
Question: *What area of surrender do you need to bring to God this week?
Point 3: Worship in the Waiting
• Waiting requires faith
• Worship in waiting = trust God even when unseen
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
“Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.”
Question: What are you waiting for? How can worship anchor you?
Point 4: Worship in Reflection
• Remember God’s faithfulness
• Reflect on how He carried you
Luke 2:19 (NIV)
But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
“Mary treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
Question: What memory of God’s faithfulness can you treasure?
Point 5: Worship as Legacy
• Teach love for God by example
• Children remember acts of worship, not just words
Deuteronomy 6:5–7 (NIV)
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Question: How can your worship today leave a legacy for your children?
The Heart of a Worshiping Mother
• Worship may never reach a stage
• Heaven hears every lullaby, prayer, and act of love
