And we'll close reconnecting with Bridgeport's Green Village Initiative. Like many farms across the state, GVI is in full harvest and winter prep mode, so we'll find out how their summer went and how you can be part of GVI's biggest celebration of the year - their upcoming Harvest Fest.

This week, we're continuing with our year-long series celebrating the International Year of the Woman Farmer - by diving into our state's aquaculture industry. Since Connecticut's biggest farms are under water, we'll chat with Beth Simonds of Stonington Farms Shellfish about her family-owned farming operation beneath Mystic River.

Next, the full-day Connecticut Invasive Plant Working Group's 2026 symposium is coming up in a few days. So, we'll preview the sold-out event and tell you how to take advantage of a post-event video option, so anyone can benefit from all the guidance from expert speakers and workshops.
