It's hard to believe, but I'll be running my first ever marathon in just about a month.

Along the way, I've been able to talk with some really facinating individuals in ther unnning community. I'm not done yet, but with a month to go, I thought it would be fitting to release this very special episode of the podcast with Colonel Colgate, who is the mastermind behind this year's race.

A runner and Marine herself, Colonel Colgate shares a bit about her history with running as well as some teasers for what is considered to be one of the best marathons for beginners.

Laura Joyce Davis was a Division 1 runner who trained for hours and hours to become one of the best collegiate athletes in the country. But after recognizing her training wasn't sustainable, she took a break from the track and traded her trainers for the title of coach.
