    Ksenija Komljenović is a celebrated Serbian percussionist and professor. She was the first woman in Serbia to earn a doctorate in percussion, and she currently is the percussion department chair at the University of North Carolina. She won the International Percussion Competition in Luxembourg and she has performed across Europe, Asia and the U.S. including at Carnegie Hall. And she is the co-founder of Vesna Duo, a percussion and piano duo.My featured song is “No No No” recorded live in concert at the Nisville Jazz Festival by my band Project Grand Slam and released on our album “Greetings From Serbia”. On the teen magazine side she’s the author of the book “TeenSet, Teen Fan Magazines, and Rock Journalism: Don’t Let The Name Fool You”. And on the Beatles side she’s written about fandom and the Beatles. She has a Masters Degree in the Beatles. And she even went to live in Liverpool, England for a time. Her work has been published in the Journal of Beatle Studies and elsewhere. And she’s a professor at Austin Community College.My featured song is my reimagined version of The Beatles “I Wanna Be Your Man” by my band Project Grand Slam on our album East Side Sessions which I changed to “I Wanna Be Your Girl” because we had a female singer.
