As a career educator, former college career counselor, and mom of a 2025 high school grad I offer teens, parents, high school counselors, and job seekers, an unbiased UNSOLICITED look at at college and career from the perspective of a fly on the desk. 80% of students change their major, more than half drop out, and over 70% of US workers are dissatisfied 24% of their week at work.     The same jobs your students dressed up in during preschool are often the same jobs they profess wanting to be as they leave for college which is all well and fine, but not when over 80% of college students change their major and 50% drop out.  How can we as a society increase exposure to jobs without discouraging our students hopes and dreams?  In this episode you get to hear me sing a Barbie commercial, talk about my own nervous breakdown in college, and hear how I traumatized my daughter at a young age with a bloody, gutty, Hug and Heal Puppy all in an attempt to teach her about the realities of being a veterinarian.  You won't want to miss this episode!
