Welcome to Finding Nico.
The podcast where you follow me, comedy writer Nico Tatarowicz, trying to figure out who I am and what my purpose is in this crazy, unpredictable era of shifting tides, wonky career paths and general madness.

Okay Hi Everyone. You may note it has been a bit quiet on my free feed the last few months. That's because there has been a lot going on personally. If you follow _finding_nico_ on Instagram you may already know that I had a bit of a bumpy journey after my beloved camper. van and sometimes, my home 'Linda' was stolen in early April. Alongside a protracted house sale and some other nonsense I have not been in a great place.
That said, I somehow found the wherewithal to create 6 episodes of Looking For LInda, a sort of petty true crime account of eveything that happened when the van was nicked with a LOT of personal stuff in it, and literally my bed!
For now Looking for Linda is exclusive to my Patreon listeners at patreon.com/findingnicothepodcast
Despite all the pain it's a bloody good listen and is made of audio I captured as I was bang in the middle of the ordeal that played out. It's sad and funny and if you have not heard it yet I humbly ask you to consider signing up on Patreon and giving it a listen as a paid member. Every sub helps me cushion the blow of such a huge faff.
Meanwhile back here in 'wherever you get your podcasts' land. I will now continue sharing my life journey and adventures, as there is still plenty of finding of the real nico for me to do.
I have been trying to line up teaching work, have had some fun comedy based stuff starting to warm up but one of the things making me happiest is when I get paid in any capacity to be part of the music scene.
You may or may not know that I have a little venture going that I call Music Dad or @itsmusicdad on Insta....And today I am uploading a 'Music Dad' episode!
Why, because in late April I was hired as Music Dad to drive up and coming Geordie Fusion Jazzers KNATS on their UK Tour. And KNATS have just been nominated for the actual Mercury Music Prize. Amazing news.
Anyway this episode is made of various bits I recorded along the way as they toured their soon to be celebrated album A Great Day In Newcastle.
The tour was just what I needed at the time as the fallout from Linda being nicked had got me pretty low, on top of the ongoing saga of trying to sell my house. Also it was just a bit of work with me knowing what I was doing for a 10 days which is rare in my freelance life.
It was great spending time with a young band just as the music world starts to notice them.
Enjoy
Nico
