Welcome back to Social Seance Society! In this week’s episode, we’re going back to the OG Final Girls, the women who helped define the trope and paved the way for the Final Girls we know and love today.
We’ll be talking about Laurie Strode from Halloween, Nancy Thompson from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Sally Hardesty from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Ellen Ripley from Alien, Alice Hardy from Friday the 13th, and Kirsty Cotton from Hellraiser.
We’ll dive into what made each of these women stand out, how they survived their respective nightmares, and the ways their characters helped shape and evolve what it means to be a Final Girl.
