October is spooky season, which means it's time for some spooky stories! The first episode of the Season of the Witch brings us Baba Yaga, the infamous witch of Russian folklore. But what if I told you she's actually a badass feminist icon? Don't believe me? Take a listen and judge for yourself!

While there may not be a lot of information on the internet about Gleti herself, I was still able to find a lot of valuable information this week that will help dispel any preconceived notions you may have about Haitian Vodou. When I say this episode did not go the way I expected, I mean it! 

When I first heard "Chinese goddess of mercy," I expected this week's research to be fun and lighthearted. And sometimes it was, but there is more to Guanyin than I originally anticipated! For one, she's not even technically a "goddess." And she wasn't even a woman when her myth was first told! I don't want to give too much away, but you're going to want to listen to this week's episode.
