August 24th, 1999. A Tuesday morning. The Power 96 Beach House at the Shelborne Hotel. The entire morning show was live on location, led by Bo Griffin. Percussion players were going off. TV crews were everywhere. The energy was crazy. And the reason for all the madness? Puff Daddy’s record release party.

What happened next became one of the most unforgettable moments Power 96 ever captured. Bo delivered one of the greatest interviews of his career, the room knew something special was happening, and the rest became history.
